Weighing module integrates with PLC systems
The Siwarex FTA (flexible technology, automatic weighing instrument) from Siemens Automation and Drives is a versatile and flexible weighing module for industrial use.
Siwarex CS (Compact Scale) is claimed to be the first electronic scale in the world to communicate via Profinet.
The module is connected to the new Profinet IM151-3PN header module of the Simatic ET 200S distributed I/O station and can be used for level weighing, platform and crane scales and force measurement.
Using standard Simatic engineering tools and additional software packages designed for weighing tasks, users can create weighing solutions for the individual control of a simple filling station, or integrated into a control system solution with Simatic PCS 7 claimed Siemens.
Off-the-shelf software packages are also available for use with Siemens' programmable controllers.
Siwarex FTA and CS comply with calibration regulations and have national and international scales approvals as well as OIML (International Organisation of Legal Metrology) certificates.
