New guidelines for variable speed drives + motors
While the connection between motor and inverter supply is usually straightforward, there are still a number of issues which need to be carefully considered, as this article explains
The touch panels are designed for operating and monitoring small machines and systems and the TP 177micro is set up for use with the Simatic S7-200 mini PLC.
The Simatic TP 177A is equipped with an onboard Profibus interface for connection to a Simatic-S7 controller.
The Simatic TP 177micro is point-to-point connected to a Simatic S7-200 mini PLC and interfaced with PPI networks per multi-master communications said Siemens.
The micro touch panels also deliver improved graphics capabilities.
The expanded graphics display capability now also includes vector graphics.
The reporting system provides event history and freely definable event classes, for instance for status or fault messages.
Projects can be created for worldwide use with up to 32 languages - including Cyrillic and Asian characters.
Five languages can be selected for operational use.
The user can toggle back and forth between them - on the TP 177A even including graphic elements.
Users configure the panels using the Simatic WinCC flexible engineering software.
Projects from the TP 170A and TP 170micro precursor models are simply converted to the new TP 177A or TP 177micro panels.
In the TP 170A these are projects from ProTool, in the TP 170micro from WinCC flexible added the company.
