Cambridgeshire-based Shearline Engineering has strengthened its management board with the appointment of David Lonsdale as Sales Manager.

Cambridgeshire-based Shearline Engineering has strengthened its management board with the appointment of David Lonsdale as Sales Manager.

Shearline, based in Cambridgeshire Business Park in Ely, has appointed David to grow the company at the targeted rate, year on year, and exceed profitability performance measures.

For his part, Lonsdale is keen to make a significant impact at a company that clearly has huge potential and brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience.

A graduate in engineering science from the University of Warwick, Lonsdale has 22 years experience in marketing, sales and sales management with major international companies in electrical manufacturing.

His range of experience encompasses oil and gas, OEMs, end users, consulting engineers, construction, contracting, and installation markets, as well as managing his own business.

Originally from Sheffield, Lonsdale has moved around the UK, managing to resist the lures of Cambridgeshire until now.

"I'm delighted to join Shearline; it's a progressive company that wants to bring the best of manufacturing practices from around the world and put them in a friendly environment in Ely".

"The company is clearly focused on the needs of its customer base and is passionate about exceeding industry standards both in performance and excellence".

"I am totally committed to these elements and am looking forward to fully playing my part in Shearline meeting the exacting targets we have set", commented Lonsdale.

With this latest strengthening of the senior management team, Shearline is underlining its commitment to ensure it is in a robust position to take advantage of the latest growth in manufacturing confidence".

""We are delighted that David has joined the management team".

"He joins the board at an exciting time, as manufacturing trends indicate a surge in orders and renewed confidence in the sector", commented Graham Smith, Shearline's Managing Director.
