Digital calibrator heads to US
UK-based SI Pressure Instruments has supplied a high pressure digital pressure calibration system to Texas Calibration and Certification, which works primarily in the aviation industry.
UK-based SI Pressure Instruments, one of the world's leading manufacturers of pressure calibration equipment, has supplied a high pressure digital pressure calibration system to Texas Calibration and Certification, which provides calibration and process control work, mainly to the aviation industry The system consists of a HTP1-1000 test pump, a PC6-1000 digital calibrator and a HK1-1000 test hose

Water keeps deadweight tester clean
SI Pressure Instruments is manufacturing a new enhanced model of its established 9000 series hydraulic deadweight tester range using water as a pressure medium.
The kit is easy to use with the pressure instrument in-situ, as it does not require a flat waist high surface to rest upon when taking an accurate reading while the pump is in operation.
The portable 1000 bar PC6 high pressure system is a significant breakthrough in pressure calibration technology, which facilitates the recording of results on-site that can be downloaded to a PC at a later date.
The PC6 also incorporates virtual instrument technology enabling the operator to control the PC6 remotely via a PC, importing all measurement data to the SiCal software also developed by SI.
Commenting, Marty Conway, US Sales Manager at SI Pressure Instruments, said: "We were approched by Texas Calibration and Certification who required portable pressure calibration equipment with high accuracy and high pressure capabilities.
We supplied them with our digital pressure calibration system which is lighter, more compact and safer to use than the pressure calibrator and nitrogen cylinder they were using before." Commenting, Bob Logan, Calibration Manager at Texas Calibration and Certification said: "We do a lot of on-site work which means we were looking for a portable system which didn't compromise on quality.
We are very impressed with SI's equipment, in particular, the data-logging capabilities of the PC6 used in conjunction with its SiCal software, which means we can provide the end customer with a detailed calibration report, without the need for a technician to manually record the data.".
