600 Group company Richmond Machine Tools is set to reaffirm its position as a leading UK machine tool supplier with the launch of its all-new range of state-of-the-art vertical machining centres.

Richmond will use MACH 2002 as the UK launchpad for a range which signals its re-entry to the mainstream machine tool market and which reflects 600 Group's underlying campaign to further expand its extensive machine tool interests.

Richmond Machine Tools is a longstanding 600 Group company and has a history of machine tool manufacture dating back 25 years.

The launch of its new high-specification VMC 600, VMC 800 and VMC 1000 vertical machining centres, is certain to help re-establish Richmond as a premier UK machine tool manufacturer competing for a share of the global market for high performance machining centres.

On sale through 600 Group's world-wide distribution network and available to UK buyers with flexible low-risk finance packages from 600 Finance, Richmond's VMC range has been designed to complement state-of-the-art Tornado lathes manufactured by fellow 600 Group company, Colchester.

Commenting on the range's launch, 600 Group Chief Executive, Tony Sweeten, explained, "The launch of Richmond's high-performance VMC range signals an exciting and highly significant development in the vertical machining centre market and lends additional impetus to 600 Group's ambition to provide a uniquely comprehensive range of state-of-the-art machine tool products.

Every aspect of the VMC range has been engineered for unparalleled build quality and class-leading performance and we're confident that the new machining centres will enjoy the high levels of success associated with each of 600 Group's existing ranges".
