Alliance to marry 3D design data with SAP

Seemage is working with gedas to deliver revolutionary publishing capabilities to SAP users by leveraging the integration capabilities of SAP's NetWeaver technology.
Seemage and T-Systems company gedas, a leading information and communication technology (ICT) services provider, are working to deliver revolutionary publishing capabilities to SAP users by leveraging the integration capabilities of SAP's NetWeaver technology.
Extending its vision of "product information everyware", to the SAP platform, gedas will develop a publishing module that enables the Seemage system to deliver technical illustrations, manufacturing process instructions, and 3D animations for maintenance, sales, marketing and training uses.
Because of gedas's expertise in NetWeaver, all the advanced capabilities of the Seemage system will be seamlessly integrated into users' overall SAP environment and capabilities.
"With this new offering, gedas and Seemage are delivering a natural extension of the PLM value proposition: all the enterprise-wide value and intellectual property of the 3D design data can be shared by everyone, whatever their need or job description", said Bernhard Herzog, Executive Manager of Product Lifecycle Management at gedas.
Adding to this, Chris Williams, CEO of Seemage, said: "Today, 3D design data has become the critical information repository in the enterprise".
