New from Servotechnic are low-cost bespoke air bearing tables.

New from Servotechnic are low-cost bespoke air bearing tables.

The hardened worktable has total deviation of flatness, runout and parallelism, relative to the base, not exceeding 0.00015in TIR.

The standard worktable supplied has a central 5in-diameter hole.

Worktables with features to customer's specifications can be supplied to order.

A built in flotation system in the base allows the unit to be "floated" over a surface table and be precisely located by fingertip forces.

The facility can be engaged as needed by a button switch.

The units feature: a bore of 5in diameter along the spin axis, a relatively low profile of 4.45in from base to hardened worktable surface, a load carrying capacity in excess of 400lb, and a flow of 0.5scfm at 50lb/in2 supply pressure.

Tables can be run from a standard air or nitrogen bottle for approximately 6.5h, if this facility is preferred to shop air.
