Nuts for reduced backlash
Haydon Switch has introduced a new range of anti-backlash nuts to complement its range of linear actuators.
Haydon Switch has introduced a range of anti-backlash nuts to complement its range of linear actuators.
Available through UK agent Servotechnic the new devices are manufactured with a proprietary blend of self-lubricating polyacetal.
This nut material in conjunction with their precision rolled 303 stainless steel screw material provides low drag torque and smooth operation throughout the life of the assembly.
The 'W' series anti-backlash nut assembly utilises a patent pending system which pre-loads two threaded nut halves to eliminate backlash without sacrificing efficiency.
This system optimises load carrying capability and bi-directional axial stiffness while minimising drag torque and system lost motion.
The 'W' system anti-backlash nuts are self compensating for system wear.
They are available with a thread mount and are easily customisable with a variety of standard or special flange configurations.
The 'N' series are for applications that do not require anti-backlash control and feature a free wheeling nut optimising system load carrying capability in a compact size.
These nuts are available with a thread mount and are easily customisable with a variety of standard or special flange configurations.
A dedicated brochure on these new products is available from UK agent Servotechnic.
