Servotechnic has introduced the Lin Engineering Silverpak 23DE, an integrated Nema 23, high torque, 1.8deg bipolar step motor, microstepping driver and encoder.

It can help reduce overall design time and system cost for various step motor applications needing high torque.

The SilverPak 23DE is 5.7cm wide and comes in three body lengths - 6.4, 7.5 and 9.9cm.

Depending on its stack size, the integrated motor-driver can produce up to 2Nm of holding torque.

It operates from 15 to 48V DC and the available phase current ranges from 0.3 to 3A peak.

This motor-driver combination has jumper configurable step resolutions from 2x to 256x microstepping and four selectable damping modes.

The unit also has optically isolated step, direction and disable-enable inputs, and under-voltage and over-temperature protection.

Pole damping technology improves step motor performance, creating a more accurate and smooth motion profile.
