Power added to servo drive range

A Servotechnic product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Feb 7, 2006

High voltage models that operate from 480V AC added to servo drive range, taking peak power up to 200kVA compared with 60kVA for standard 240V AC models.

Servotechnic, the UK agent for Motion Control Systems, has introduced extra power ratings for MCS's AX Series servo drives.

The range is now available with two high voltage models that operate from 480V AC.

The standard 240V AC models provide up to 60kVA peak, while the high voltage models can provide up to 200kVA peak.

These drives have RS232 commutation configuration set-up from various feedback devices, including direct commutation from sine/sine+120 control card outputs.

High bandwidth, zero cross-over distortion current loops suit demanding servo applications.

These drives combine analogue and digital control, and complement the range of frameless brushless motors from MCS with peak torque ratings up to 54,000Nm.
