Leadscrew assemblies have improved stiffness

A Servotechnic product story

Leadscrew assembly range includes acme leadscrews, advanced coatings and anti-backlash nuts, which provide designers with improved axial system stiffness.

Servotechnic has added Haydon leadscrew assemblies to its linear motion range.

The assemblies includes acme leadscrews, advanced coatings and anti-backlash nuts.

These provide designers with improved axial system stiffness.

The acme leadscrews are made from 303 stainless steel produced with a precision rolling process and tight lead accuracy.

The leadscrews are also available with Haydon's Black Ice PTFE coating process, which eliminates the flaking that can occur with other PTFE coatings.

The leadscrews are available in diameters from 0.48 to 0.95cm.

For each diameter there are various leads available.

The anti-backlash nuts are for applications that require precise positioning as they eliminate the minimal backlash between the lead screw and nut interface.

The nuts are made from a self-lubricating polyacetal that, when combined with the precision rolled stainless steel leadscrews, provides low drag torque and smooth operation throughout the life of the assembly.

When supplied from the factory with Haydon's standard lubricant, these nuts can operate for the life of the application without relubrication.

They can also be operated without lubrication when combined with Black Ice coated screws.

Three anti-backlash styles are available as well as a low profile freewheeling design.

The nuts are available with a thread mount and are customisable with standard or special flange configurations.

These nuts come in a range of diameters and leads.

Applications are in semiconductors, pick-and-place, robotics and laboratory and office automation.
