Motor provides slim design

A Servotechnic product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team May 18, 2007

Servotechnic's Haydon Planetary Gear Train Pancake Motor uses a gear train that is built inside the rotor.

Servotechnic's low-cost Haydon Planetary Gear Train Pancake Motor delivers exceptional performance in a very thin package.

The 18.5mm thick, 80mm diameter motor is built using a gear train that is built inside the rotor.

The thin profile is a result of this design.

The Planetary Gear Train Pancake Motor is available with a 3.75 degree step angle, four to one gear ratio, and provides up to 85Ncm of torque.

The motor is ideal for applications with limited space, requiring accurate positioning and high torque.

Haydon custom designs and manufactures electric motors for medical equipment, instrumentation, industrial equipment, machinery automation, HVAC, telecommunications, semiconductor, office equipment, and many other custom applications.

Full details on the Haydon product range are available from UK agent Servotechnic.
