Bespoke pump units are the standard

A SSP Pumps product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Apr 26, 2005

The SSP brand of positive displacement rotary lobe pumps is able to offer bespoke pump units to meet the most arduous duties.

Whereas many pump manufacturers today seem to supply only "standard" pumps, the SSP brand of positive displacement rotary lobe pumps is able to offer bespoke pump units to meet the most arduous duties.

SSP Pumps is not afraid to go where others do not.

For those particularly aggressive applications that demand pumps to be manufactured in materials other than 316L and duplex stainless steel, SSP is able to supply pumps with pump head materials in Uranus B6 (904L), and nickel alloys such as Hastelloy and other exotics on customer request.

The SSP brand of rotary lobe pumps are produced at the company's 12,000m2 facility in Eastbourne, UK, where the manufacturing capability is based on the very latest CNC machine tools, supported by advanced 3D modelling and DNC links.

The manufacturing facility is particularly tooled up to handle those "special material" customer requests.

From initial enquiry the specification of the pump will be engineered to ensure the most appropriate pump is provided to meet application requirements.

SSP Pumps offers the most comprehensive rotary lobe pump portfolio in the market place today, with 119 different pump models in seven different ranges to choose from, and providing differential pressures up to 20bar and flow rates up to 680m3/h.

The pumps provide high efficiency and low energy consumption, smooth low shear pumping action and cost-effective easy maintenance.
