The process of selecting small inch size drive components for new prototypes or production applications just became easier.

The process of selecting small inch size drive components for new prototypes or production applications just became easier with the publication, by Stock Drive Products and Sterling Instrument, of a 1184-page catalogue, the "Handbook of inch drive components" The catalogue itself includes over 48,000 off-the-shelf standardized commercial and precision quality INCH size components, including over 1380 new products

The catalogue is divided into 14 product sections, each with its own photographic and descriptive index.

The major product groups are: gears, belt and chain drives, shafts, shaft accessories, bearings, couplings, universal joints, vibration mounts, miscellaneous components, hardware, gearheads and speed reducers, right angle drives, brakes and clutches, motors and gearmotors.

There are 17,039 gears offered along with 18,355 inch size timing belt drives in seven different materials.

All components in the catalogue adhere to the following parameters: 120 to 16 pitch gears, shafts from 0.0311 to 1.249in diameter, and 15W devices or less.

Every component is identified using a meaningful alphanumeric coding system which is explained in the catalogue.

Included with the catalogue is a handy printed sheet of peel-off section divider tab labels which can also be customised by the user.
