Fastening rotating components to shafts has become easier with the publication of the new 96-page "Handbook of Fairloc components, the integral fastener".
A highlight of the catalogue, identified as D265, is a comprehensive 175-page technical reference section which covers in detail designing with and installing the new GT2 plus other belt drives.
Other topics covered in detail include belt configurations, belt construction, belt tensioning, drive alignment, idler usage, and belt pull and bearing load considerations, etc.
The catalogue is divided into four product sections.
Section 1 covers inch and metric timing belts which include the following pitches: MXL, 40 DP, XL, L, 3mm HTD, 5mm HTD, T2.5, T5, T10, 2mm GT2, 3mm, GT2, and mm GT2.
This section also includes timing belt stock, and belt tension tester products.
Sections 2 and 3 features over 9400 inch and metric timing belt pulleys which are stocked in the following five materials: steel, aluminium, polycarbonate, acetal, and nylon.
Highlighted are patented Fairloc pulleys which feature an integral hub fastening device that is designed to solve phasing, timing, positioning and frequent removal problems.
The newly patented Shaftloc rotating component fastening device, consisting of a simple to use two-part collet lock is featured in this section.
Section 4 covers both inch and metric timing pulley stock and flanges.
