A new series of worm gear speed reducers feature all metal construction for use in a wide variety of instrumentation applications.

A new series of worm gear speed reducers manufactured by Stock Drive Products feature all metal construction for use in a wide variety of instrumentation applications A total of 54 worm gear types are stocked in inch type and 29 worm gear types are stocked in metric type

Three sizes of speed reducers are offered with ball bearing mounted input shafts allowing up to 6000rev/min input speeds.

The worm gears are made of phosphor bronze and the hardened worm is steel.

The three speed reducer types are offered with standard gear ratings from 6:1 to 100:1.

The housings are made of aluminium alloy with a black anodised finish.

These units, identified as the A 2Z17( -,M), A 2Z18 (-,M) and A 2Z19 (-, M) Series, feature a breakaway torque of from 0.5 to 8mNm and an output torque of 0.51 to 4.41Nm.

Their maximum backlash is 0.5 degrees and their maximum input speed is 6000rev/min for both inch and metric type.

The small drive measures from 31.8 x 19 x 39mm.

The smallest unit features a 3mm diameter input shaft and 4mm diameter out put shaft both 19mm long.

Requests for any special mounting, ball bearings, or different shaft diameters or other modifications are welcome.

Prices, in single unit quantities, start at $217.05 for the 12.5 ratio speed reducer unit.
