New off-the-shelf metric external, internal and E-type retaining rings meet increasing US demand.

A new line of off-the-shelf metric external, internal and E-type retaining rings have been introduced by Stock Drive Products to meet increasing US demand.

There are 56 of the most commonly used sizes stocked in carbon spring steel (SAE1065-1090), which has a tensile strength of 3164kg/cm2.

They have been oil-dipped for added protection.

Complete technical specifications including shaft, groove and free diameters, groove widths and ring thicknesses, plus ring thrust strength are shown for each size.

The external rings, known as the MD0471M Series, feature constant circularity and groove pressure making them suitable for use even under heavy thrust loads and high rotational speeds.

They are stocked for 3 to 120mm shafts and conform to DIN471.

The internal rings, known as the MD0472M Series, are offered for 8 to 25mm housing bores and meet DIN472.

The E-rings, identified as the MD6799M Series, are available for 1 to 13mm shafts.

They conform to DIN6799.

List prices range from $4.76 to $13.75 per 100 rings.
