Mounting and dismounting large pressure joints is made easier thanks to the introduction by SKF of its latest THAP series air driven hydraulic pumps.

Mounting and dismounting large pressure joints is made easier thanks to the introduction by SKF of its latest THAP series air driven hydraulic pumps.

The pumps were designed for use with OK-couplings, bearings, flywheels, railway wheels and a broad variety of other maintenance and installation tasks including mounting and dismantling ship propellers, rudder pantiles and so forth.

The pumps provide significant time savings over hand operated types and also benefit from a continuous supply of oil.

Three units are supplied by SKF in low (30MPa), medium (150MPa) and high pressure (300MPa) versions.

All are housed in strong, metal storage boxes.

A variety of accessories are available including oil and screw injection kits and gauges.
