SKF Engineering Products (EPL) has come to an agreement with Unimatic Engineers, the motion control specialist, to have part of its linear motion product range distributed in the UK.

Unimatic was attracted to SKF's reputation for quality, which it felt would complement its own standing as an organisation offering engineering solutions with added value.

Jerry Pinna, Managing Director of SKF EPL said, "Unimatic's standing in this field is outstanding and can only complement our own reputation for reliability and excellence.

Furthermore, the agreement not only benefits SKF EPL and Unimatic, it benefits the whole linear product marketplace as a result of increased competition in the field." Martin Stevens of Unimatic agrees: "Our aim is to improve the level of competition in British industry, reduce market prices and offer cost benefits to end users." Unimatic's linear division specialises in linear bearings of all types, ball screws (rolled thread and precision ground) and roller screws for the most demanding of applications.
