SKF Engineering Products has completed an agreement with Accuride, the manufacturer of precision, telescopic ball bearing slides, to distribute its products in the UK.
These will be sold alongside SKF EPL's own range of machine parts and linear motion products.
Accuride is the world's largest company within its specialist area, with its slides found in medical equipment, ATMs, cash drawers, copy machines, toolboxes and electronic racks.
The company offers slides that range in length from 205mm to 1525mm with ratings from 130kg to 225kg.
Included in Accuride's portfolio is the 3832 series of self-closing drawer slides.
The slide is side mounted on the drawer and can support 45kg at full extension.
The 3832 series finds applications frequently in fixed storage systems using drawers.
This is because the self-closing action keeps the drawers securely closed and keeps the draw fronts aligned.
Smooth movement is provided by a modified raceway and flexible tabs allow for variation in side space.
Also notable in the Accuride range are a range of heavy duty slides that can support upto 225kg at over 1m full extension.
