Logger keeps an eye on machine condition
The SKF Mini-Microlog CMXA50 is the latest addition to the line of SKF portable data collectors/analysers which collect, store and trend vibration and process data.
Vibration monitoring is considered the most effective way to detect and identify problems in rotating machines such as gearboxes, motors, fans and pumps The SKF Mini-Microlog CMXA50 is the latest addition to the line of SKF portable data collectors/analysers which collect, store and trend vibration and process data

Seals boost food production safey
SKF Economos' new seals can be quickly and simply found with standard metal detection equipment should any small pieces fall into the product being processed.
The Mini-Microlog CMXA50 is a route-based instrument that allows context sensitive, onboard help at the press of a button.
It helps bridge the gap between high-powered, comprehensive analysis tools, such as the SKF Microlog CMVA60, and the Marlin line of personal data assistants, which support operator driven reliability.
Small, lightweight and robust, the CMXA50 fits in one hand, weighs only 0.77kg, but is rated for a 2m drop.
With a dynamic range of 90dB and digital signal processing at a 40kHz real-time rate, speed and quality of data collected is greatly enhanced.
Multi-point automation further improves data efficiency, collecting and processing up to 12 measurement parameters per point at the press of a button.
An internal multiplexer provides built-in support for triaxial data collection.
CMXA50 offers four selectable input filters, for enhanced bearing and gear mesh fault detection.
It features unfiltered and filtered orbits, cross-channel phase, simultaneous two-channel FFT and standard time waveforms, meeting basic and advanced analysis needs.
With FFT resolution of 12,800 lines and a maximum frequency range of 40,000kHz, the unit is an ideal choice for high-speed gear and bearing fault detection.
Also offered is a two-plane balancing program and non-route modules, offering convenient in-the-field corrections to machines and changes to standard routes.
With bitmap images saved to an ATA-Flash PC Card, the CMXA50 makes it possible to save, print and compare displays for ongoing analysis or reporting.
Convenience is also provided by the use of long life, removable lithium-ion, off-the-shelf battery packs. Request a free brochure from SKF UK ...
