Positioning with precision
SKF Engineering Products has unveiled a range of positioning solutions for high precision industries.
The quest for increasing productivity in the electronics and photonics industries relies on extremes of accuracy, speed and reliability.
With its world-class knowledge of machine design, bearings and motion, SKF Engineering Products has unveiled a range of positioning solutions for high precision industries.
Centred on x-y positioning tables, SKF offers an unrivalled range of equipment options for the electronics and laser machine builder.
Applications such as those found in the semiconductor and fibre optics sectors can be met through a variety of semi-bespoke designs and solutions.
For example, SKF EPL can configure tables using AC and DC motion technology, including servomotors, stepping motors, direct drive linear motors and amplifiers, together with the associated motion controllers.
The company can also supply precision bearings, ball and rollerscrew drives, encoders and feedback devices, and cable management and protection equipment.
Most positioning solutions of this type are application specific and, by being able to mix and match technologies and equipment to suit, tailored positioning systems can be designed and constructed.
SKF EPL can provide everything from the discrete precision components, including the motors, drives, controllers and bearings, to complete positioning tables ready to install.
