Fan upgrades cut maintenance costs
SKF fan upgrade solutions employ self-aligning bearings, advanced plummer (pillow) block housings and automatic lubrication systems.
Clip chains are used on stentor machines that draw huge extruded plastics sheets, and increasingly textiles, through a series of treatments for manufacturing magnetic tape and other laminated film products.
The clip chains can be very long, with typically up to 1400 links and an overall length of 200m.
Each link comprises up to nine track runner bearings, which have a lifespan of about eighteen months, together with other components such as its main links, bushes, trigger holders and fingers.
The clip chain refurbishment service uses specialised washing and drying machines to ensure that every single component is cleaned thoroughly.
Precision measuring equipment, jigs and fixtures ensure that, not only are parts fully inspected for wear, but also that the critical clearance between the fingers on the chain is maintained.
All the bearings are replaced with high quality SKF products and the entire chain is covered by a full SKF warranty.
Lead-time is typically just six to eight weeks. Request a free brochure from SKF UK ...
