No maintenance boast for spherical plain
bearings

The new TX series spherical plain bearings are claimed to make maintenance a thing of the past.

The new TX series spherical plain bearings are claimed to make maintenance a thing of the past Thanks to the introduction of a triple lip seal and a new PTFE fabric liner, the new maintenance-free spherical plain bearing guarantees a long service life without the need for regular maintenance

Improvements include better wear resistance, higher load carrying capacity, higher bearing stiffness and lower frictional characteristics.

The TX series spherical plain bearing comprises outer and inner rings and triple lip seals on each side.

The outer ring has a concave inner surface bonded with a newly developed PTFE fabric liner.

The inner ring surface is plated with hard-chromium and together they form a complex tribiological system under load and motion, thus achieving increased sliding distances under higher specific loads.

The triple lip seal design provides an improved barrier to exclude solid contaminants and corrosive fluids.

It is also reinforced with a steel insert, to improve seal rigidity and prevent it being accidentally dislodged.

Applications for the TX series spherical plain bearing will be found in any field requiring long service lives with minimal maintenance. Request a free brochure from SKF UK ...
