SKF Economos' new seals can be quickly and simply found with standard metal detection equipment should any small pieces fall into the product being processed.
The special corrosion-resistant characteristics of the stainless steel used in the Inox-line also ensure a high level of protection against acid or lye stress and gives protection in harsh environments, such as at sea or in industrial processing applications.
This same resistance, and the use of biodegradable oils, is also of special importance for water and environmental technology.
For instance, the gas springs easily and safely open and close maintenance flaps and manholes without any danger of pollution to the water supply.
Careful material selection of the components used in the gas springs has resulted in an almost iron-free product, with almost no effect on magnetic fields.
This makes the Inox-line especially important for use in medical devices such as hospital beds and operating tables, where non-magnetic properties are required in addition to total cleanliness.
This is in addition to applications in the pharmaceutical and food industry.
The Inox-line meets international quality standards such as DIN EN ISO9001, as well as the new world standard ISOITS16949 with the regulatory requirements of QS 000, VDA6.1, EAQF and AVSQ.
The Inox-line offers lengths from 205 to 885mm with strokes from 60 to 400mm and forces from 100 to 1000N. Request a free brochure from SKF UK ...
