Linear actuators cover wide range of
applications
The CAF linear actuator system allows the simple interchange of critical components such as motors, gears, screws and attachments to optimise an infinite number of applications.

Seals boost food production safey
SKF Economos' new seals can be quickly and simply found with standard metal detection equipment should any small pieces fall into the product being processed.
The standard design includes built-in limit switches and further design options are available to optimise application safety.
The most common of these are a metal back-up nut, which prevents mechanical failure, and a nonfixed extension tube to prevent crush injuries.
As a result, this series is appropriate for medical equipment, especially medical beds.
A further series, the CAFM master control with integrated CAF actuator, can control up to three actuators for simple up/down movements.
This range includes the Evolution III, which provides a higher degree of ESD protection, and system surveillance and shut down features.
Both the CAFS and CAFM series are equipped with a multi-orientation attachment, which allows the actuators to be positioned in the best possible angular position to optimise the available space.
A further series, the CAF Relax (CAFX) linear actuator range offers compact and silent actuators with built-in electronics and the external transformer on the main power cable provides low voltage to the actuator.
Thanks to the mechanical and electrical design using a robust "nonrelay" solution, a very high level of safety and reliability is achieved.
The standard CAF system offers a wide range of extra features such as power saving, overload protection and a toroidal transformer.
A wide range of accessories is also available, such as battery and panel controls with handsets, table handset and foot pedals. Request a free brochure from SKF UK ...
