The VM600 is a digital, modular, scaleable hardware and software system that provides users with integrated machinery protection, condition monitoring and advanced performance monitoring - all within a single system rack.
This flexible and configurable system features signal-processing cards that can accept any normal transducer input (absolute vibration, shaft vibration, displacement, temperature, pressure, analogue etc) and perform any machinery monitoring function - without the need for different submodules or hardware adjustments.
As the cards are fully software configurable, specification, installation and training are simplified, while spares stocks and service times are reduced.
The VM600 is powerful and offers a full raft of features, yet it remains easy to learn and to use.
Running under Windows 98, NT, 2000, XP and SQL Server, on standard networks, full remote access with multilevel security is also available.
It is suitable for use in many demanding industries including power generation, oil and gas production and distribution, petrochemical processing, gas turbine marine propulsion - typically, any area where high-value, critical rotating machinery is employed.
Traditionally, separate systems have been provided for machinery protection, online condition monitoring and machinery performance assessment.
The VM600 Series, however, uses the latest digital signal processing technology and industry standard communications interfaces to deliver an integrated, modular, scaleable solution, within a single system framework.
Only two types of signal processing modules are required - one for protection and one for condition and performance monitoring data acquisition.
Each card can perform all necessary signal processing with input from any appropriate sensor.
Communication is over Ethernet, serial or Modbus links - using standard protocols, the device can be configured, interrogated and supported remotely, it offers dual redundant power supplies and communication links and one 6U rack can accommodate up to 48 protection channels or 192 condition monitoring/process inputs.
