Actuators offer ergonomic furniture solutions
SKF Linear Motion has developed a complete range of actuators aimed at manufacturers of ergonomic furniture solutions.
SKF Linear Motion has developed a complete range of actuators aimed at manufacturers of ergonomic furniture solutions.
Identifying the fact the ergonomic furniture is becoming more of a necessity, rather than a luxury, the actuator range will offer manufacturers a huge choice of options - allowing end uses to tailor workstations and desks to their exact requirements.
Not only does this help with productivity but it also minimises employee fatigue and discomfort.
The range, offering six different actuator types with up to 7000N maximum load, is complemented by a suite of control units and accessories.
All actuators offer compact design, built in feedback systems, high speeds, high static load capacity and rigidity and stroke lengths between 50 and 700mm.
As well as being self lubricating, self locking and optimised to suit furniture applications, they are also easy to integrate and adapt thanks to their flexible design and, just as importantly, they are maintenance free.
The Telesmart TMA/TMD range suits seated-to-standing applications.
Available in strokes from 100 to 700mm they cater for a maximum load of 1000N and offer a maximum speed of 60mm/s.
The Telesmart TXG pillars offer an attractive, cost effective design and feature an integrated control unit inside the tube that enables plug-and-play integration.
The Telemag range features minimum retracted length with large stroke length within a robust design.
When complemented with the KOM control units they offer even more flexibility.
The Maggear range, with a stroke length up to 200mm, suits in-line installations.
It offers an 800N maximum load and travels at 8mm/sec.
The ErgoCare and ErgoCAF ranges are smaller, quieter actuators designed for use in a huge variety of adjustable furniture designs.
Offering maximum loads of 2000 and 7000N, respectively, they offer power in combination with sleek unobtrusive designs.
Finally, a large variety of control units allows the connection of up to five actuators and several external components.
SKF is also able to offer a range of stylish and ergonomically shaped accessories such as hand, desk and foot switches.
