Economos says that last year's sales figures show the company is strengthening its position as market leader in almost every UK industrial sector.

The specialist seal company says its seals are particularly dominant in high performance applications.

Reliability and low maintenance costs, says Economos, has been the winning combination in keeping it market leader in that area.

Industries that put safety and longevity at the top of their list when shopping for seals inevitably end up coming to Economos.

This, says the company, has been especially true with customers operating equipment using high performance valves.

Economos' Sales and Marketing Director Paul Chambers says the company's reputation for providing high quality seals has been won in part by meeting the demand for ultra-reliable, long-life valve seals within sectors such as the offshore and power industries: "Environmental pressures, difficulties in accessing installations and equipment coupled with the high cost entailed in interrupted operations have all created the need for seals which not only have a long working capability but, equally importantly, also have a predictable life span.

"Getting these two factors right reduces the risk of valve leakage to practically zero.

Designing and producing valve seals for such high performance applications has long been an area in which Economos has been pre-eminent." Bolstering Economos' success has been the development of its range of sealing materials to suit any application along with fast-track delivery of either standard or non-standard size seals to customers anywhere in the UK.

While the company's technical expertise has won it many customers, its high level of technical support has helped to keep them.

Paul Chambers had some advice for those companies who have not yet used Economos: "It's no good designing and manufacturing the optimum sealing system if you can't deliver it, Economos is renowned for all three".
