Seals boost food production safey
SKF Economos' new seals can be quickly and simply found with standard metal detection equipment should any small pieces fall into the product being processed.
The move is designed to strengthen the company's rock-solid commitment to providing total customer satisfaction.
Paul Chambers, Economos' Sales and Marketing Director, said: "Our customers want fast, accurate answers to their technical questions, and an easy system for establishing how we can use our expertise to help them.
The Internet increasingly offers more efficient means of doing so, and there has been a steady increase in the use of the web by our customers to consult with us about seal designs and materials.
As a result, we have now completed this major revamp of our website, which now offers easy to access information about our national and international network of design and manufacturing centres, and provides links for quickly contacting them.
Our customers are now just two clicks away from communicating with any Economos division, anywhere in the world".
Economos currently has networks of manufacturing and design centres in 16 countries.
The move to introduce a more sophisticated web-based consultancy, design and ordering service will strengthen Economos' dominant position in seal technology, as well as opening up fresh marketing opportunities.
Chambers added: "One example of the way our upgraded Internet facility will greatly help our customers is in the marine seals market.
Most vessels belonging to the big shipping lines now have the Internet on board to receive changes of passage plans, weather forecasts and navigational information.
If a ship experiences a seal problem in its engines or pumps during a passage it can now access the nearest Economos centre to its next port of call, order the appropriate replacement, and the seal will be waiting on the quayside when the vessel docks, ready for fitting.
Even if a customer is in the middle of the ocean, Economos' engineers will be online and available". Request free introductory details about products from SKF UK ...
