Economos takes on the SKF brand

SKF Economos specialises in the development and manufacture of hydraulic, pneumatic and specialist seals and engineering plastics for the oil and gas, food and beverage, pulp and paper, mining and steel industries.
In the UK, the company has a network of 12 regional seal manufacturing centres, which provide local design and production facilities for the fast turnaround of seals, gaskets and engineered plastic components.
This network is backed by a dedicated research, development and manufacturing centre at SKF Economos' headquarters in Austria, from where the company provides high volume production facilities, and by a sales and customer service centres in countries throughout the world.
Paul Chambers, Managing Director of SKF Economos UK, explains: "Although the rebranding of Economos to become SKF Economos may appear at face value to be a relatively minor step, it is actually an important stage in the company's evolution".
"In particular, it reinforces our position within the global SKF corporation and highlights the added value that we can now provide to all our customers around the world".
