Expansion for Austrian seals specialist
Major investment in its production and service resources will allow Economos to bring new cutting edge sealing technologies to market faster.
SKF Economos, one of Europe's leading manufacturers of industrial seals and engineered plastics, has expanded its Austrian headquarters in Judenburg to allow the company to meet the demands of its customers even more quickly and effectively.
The major investment in its production and service resources will allow Economos to bring new cutting edge sealing technologies to market fast, and enable the company to create bespoke solutions efficiently and cost effectively, delivering greater value to customers as a result.
The expansion of the Economos headquarters follows the company's recent acquisition by the global SKF Group, and reflects its new position as an integral part of SKF's seals division.
With expanded production facilities, new research and development capabilities, and considerably more office space, the company will be able to deliver an enhanced level of customer service and technical support, maintaining its leading position as a supplier of pioneering sealing technologies.
Construction of the new premises began in August and, despite severe weather conditions and an early start to the Austrian winter, the production facility is on schedule to be finished by the end of March, with the office building to follow in the second quarter.
