SKF Economos' new seals can be quickly and simply found with standard metal detection equipment should any small pieces fall into the product being processed.
SKF Economos has released a range of metal detectable seals and engineering plastic components.
These solutions have been designed to make it simple for companies in the food and beverage, pharmaceutical and other contamination-sensitive industries to demonstrate all due diligence, while at the same time optimising productivity.
The products can be quickly and simply found with standard metal detection equipment should any small pieces fall into the product being processed.
Most of the components in the range are coloured blue so they can be seen more easily.
A wide range of metal-detectable products are available from SKF Economos, including seals, O-rings, gaskets and suction cups.
The company also offers bespoke engineering plastics solutions for a diverse array of production line applications.
In addition to their detectable properties, these components offer excellent resistance to wear, impact and liquids, making them suitable for use as wear strips, guide rails, bearings, bushings, rollers and other machined parts.
Eclipse Magnetics' metal detectable sieve and sieve magnet seals have been added to the range.
These seals are available in blue and can be fitted to the Eclipse sieve magnet or retrofitted to existing sieve magnets and screens.
