Incorporating the latest technological advancements, the SRU rotary actuator is at the leading edge of technology.
In assembly and machining applications that require rotational movements of more than 180 degrees, the energy supply lines will wrap around the 6th axis of the robot.
The Schunk DDF rotary feedthrough unit enables the robot hand to rotate around more than 360 degrees without hoses and cables getting wrapped around the axis.
Integrated air channels and slip-ring contacts ensure a constant air and electricity supply to the tool, even at high rotational speeds.
Due to the modular design of the DDF a large variety of combinations of air and electrical feedthrough options are possible.
The compact and light weight design of the DDF adds only a minimal extra load to the robot's 6th axis.
All housing parts of the DDF units are weight reduced and made of hard-coated, high tensile aluminium.
The DDF range comprises 11 sizes with up to six pneumatic and 10 electrical feedthrough functions.
The DDF is suitable for speeds of up to 120rev/min and for payloads of 18kN and 700Nm.
The use of specially coated seals reduces the required breakaway torque and the constant torque.
