Offered by Security Locknut, this novel locknut has found application in rail, off-road, construction, mining, even presses and amusement rides - critical applications where periodic maintenance requires reusability.

In essence, the insert locks the bolt, while the nut secures the joint.

The Security Locknut concept further creates an absolutely vibration-proof fastening system, critical in applications where double nuts, serrated fasteners, distorted and nylon insert locknuts fail, time after time.

These new locknuts feature an elliptical spring steel insert, which is mechanically joined to the nut body in a permanent union.

Installation requires only a standard torque wrench or ratchet.

The Security Locknut product is heat-resistant to 395C, offered in standard sizes from 0.375 to 4in and compatible with Grade 5 or Grade 8 bolts.

Full and jam nut styles are available with fine or coarse threads.

Metric sizes are also available, and free samples can be supplied on request.
