Setra was recognised for superior performance in quality standards, cost reduction, on-time delivery, and inventory management/stocking programs.

Setra has been a key supplier for Systems Products Manufacturing as well as Systems and Services for the Americas (SSA).

During the past year, Setra lowered product costs to the Controls Business, established a programme for consigned inventory, and exceeded quality expectations.

"Setra Systems has consistently provided improvements in product quality, delivery, and lead time reduction to Johnson Controls.

Strong teamwork and joint engineering efforts with our key suppliers allows Johnson Controls to continuously exceed our customers' increasing expectations.

Setra has demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement", said John Pierson, Johnson Controls vice president of global procurement and logistics.

"The recognition from Johnson Controls is especially rewarding because it encompasses all aspects of our business, from the implementation of new technologies to the quality of manufacturing to the promptness of meeting customers' orders", said Ed Cope, Setra's vice president of sales and marketing.

"Johnson Controls has thousands of suppliers, so to be chosen as 'Supplier of the Year' is a tremendous honour".
