The European Code PUWER 98 paragraphs 130 to 135 - safe use of woodworking machinery - requires an installation of a motor braking system.
The purpose is to stop rotating machines immediately after a stop signal.
According to the code, such a braking system must be installed before 1st January 2003.
Solcon's new Solbrake line of DC injection brakes 8-580A is designed to stop the motor quickly, yet softly and is easily installed by any electrician.
