Solartron Mobrey's short fork level sensor Squing 2 is now available in two new versions for use in hazardous areas.

Solartron Mobrey's short fork level sensor Squing 2 is now available in two new versions for use in hazardous areas.

The explosion-proof version is approved to ATEX II 1/2 G D and EEx d IIC T6.

The IS version has the ATEX II 1 G D and EEx ia IIC T5 approvals.

Both are ideal for use in a wide range of process, chemical and petrochemical applications.

Squing 2 is a compact, robust vibrating fork level switch.

The fork assembly extends just 50mm into the process pipe or tank, making it easy to install in a wide range of installations.

The unit features a visible heart-beat LED which flashes continuously to give visual confirmation that the sensor is operational.

Warning of any fault with the sensor is indicated by a change in the flash rate.

Nuisance tripping of the switch is avoided by use of the built-in user-selectable time delay function which allows reaction time to be set within a range from 0.33 to 30s, according to the application.

The new explosion-proof and IS versions of Squing 2 are available with wet-sides in a variety of materials including 316L stainless steel and Halar/PFA copolymer coating for wide chemical compatibility.
