The MCU Flow is the latest addition to the Hart-compatible MCU family from Solartron Mobrey.

This easy-to-use dedicated open channel flow meter and control unit can be used on a variety of flow applications but also meets Environmental Agency (EA) and BS3680 requirements for effluent discharge.

MCU Flow provides instantaneous, daily and cumulative readings and can log up to 7200 flow values and 365 daily flow totals.

This can provide an additional line of defence in disaster recovery with the 365 days of data remaining logged within the unit should an IT malfunction or error occur within the control room.

All data are real-time stamped and stored for download via a RS232 connection.

Once the data have been collected the Windows-compatible Solartron Mobrey LogView software enables them to be manipulated as required including searches for maximum and minimum flows and data from any specified day and time.

The new system is based on Solartron Mobrey's highly respected 4-20mA/Hart loop powered MSP900 series ultrasonic transmitter technology with a new MCU90F control unit to provide accurate and reliable open channel flow analysis.

The entire system caries an ATEX 11 (1) G certificate for use in Zone 0 areas making it ideal for all process applications including those used in the chemical, industrial processing and water industries.

The control unit is housed in a tough polycarbonate enclosure for harsh or outdoor environments.

MCU Flow can be used with standard and nonstandard flow structures such as Venturi flumes and flat V-weirs.

Solartron Mobrey also offers an on-site service that reviews the existing flow structure and instrumentation to ensure it is in accordance with BS3680.
