Specialty Fasteners and Components has been appointed to distribute the extensive range of fasteners manufactured by Alcoa Fastening Systems Specialty Products Division.

Specialty Fasteners and Components has been appointed as an industrial market authorised distributor for the extensive range of fasteners manufactured by Alcoa Fastening Systems Specialty Products Division.

The product range include the following major brands: Camloc quarter-turn fasteners and tension latches; Tridair Keensert thread inserts; Livelock panel fasteners; Rosan Slimsert; Ring locked inserts; and Fluid boss adapters.

SFC has a wealth of experience distributing the Alcoa products and the appointment will ensure AFS customers enjoy continued support from both an engineering and inventory perspective.

SFC's team of account managers are available to assist with fastener selection for both new and existing applications.

A topical issue raised by the use of traditional threaded fasteners is one of assembly time - or basically how much cost is in the assembly process.

SFC successfully engineered a quarter-turn fastener for a client faced with a dilemma of addressing two problems, health and safety and assembly time, created by the existing threaded fastener.
