Protected rodless cylinders take on the elements

Dust proof, water-resistant protective covers have been made available for two SMC rodless cylinders, and water resistant solid state auto-switches are also available for mounting

SMC has announced the introduction of protective covers to its range of mechanically jointed rodless, double acting, cylinders.

The protective covers are dust proof, water-resistant and are available on rodless cylinders series MY1MW (slide bearing guide) and MY1CW (cam follower guide).

In addition, water resistant solid state auto-switches are available for mounting.

Bore sizes range from 16 to 40mm, and options include centralised piping, up to two stroke-adjusting units, and side support.

Other specifications include proof pressure of 1.2mPa, air cushion at both ends, operating pressure range of 0.1mPa to 0.8mPa (depending upon model specified), and standard strokes of 100 to 2,000mm.
