A new device aims to overcome the problems of tube twisting encountered during rotary movements on chip mounters or industrial robots.
A new device aims to overcome the problems of tube twisting encountered during rotary movements on chip mounters or industrial robots The new series MQR metal-seal rotary joint has a low rotating torque of one-tenth to one-hundredth that of conventional rubber seal types, and is available with a wide range of rotation performance, from slow and smooth to high speed rotation (3000rev/min)

Pneumatics at heart of bearing assembly system
Precision pneumatic controls from SMC Pneumatics are at the heart of innovative new automatic assembly systems, designed for Sarnatech BNL to make bearing assemblies
There is very little valve abrasion within the unit, and this ensures a long life - estimated to be in the region of one hundred million to one billion rotations.
In addition, the use of a metal seal prevents the seal from sticking to the rotating surface, even after a long period of inactivity.
And the rotating torque is resistant to temperature change, from -10 to +80C.
Other specifications include: minimum operating pressure of -100kPa; maximum operating pressure of 10bar; a weight of 0.016 to 1.26kg (depending on model selected); and a port size of M5 x 0.8.
