SMC offers proportional solenoid valve

A SMC Pneumatics (UK) product story
Edited by the Engineeringtalk editorial team Mar 16, 2009

SMC has introduced the Series PVQ (proportional solenoid valve) for applications requiring smooth and accurate flow rates.

Designed for a wide range of applications - including vacuum 0.1Pa.abs - the PVQ valve adjusts the flow rate smoothly and precisely by controlling the electrical input current externally.

The valves have special coated internal moving parts, meaning the operational service life has been extended to over 25 million cycles and noise emitted during the valve opening and closing has been reduced.

Specifications include repeatability lower than 3 per cent, hysteresis lower than 10 per cent, reduced leakage and automatic valve closure when the power supply is turned off.

The valve is available with brass or stainless steel body parts and FKM seal material.
