Safety light curtains draw safety integrity to category three EN 954-1 with detection heights from 180 to 1240mm as standard with 30 and 40mm object detection making them suitable for hand detection.

Smartscan's 1000 Plus safety light curtains have safety integrity to category three EN 954-1 with detection heights from 180 to 1240mm as standard with 30 and 40mm object detection making them suitable for hand detection.

The range includes two, three and four beam options for guarding around the perimeter of a machine.

Visual diagnostics aid light curtain monitoring and set-up.

Features include IP65 protection for harsh environments and they are finished in a bright yellow polyester powder coating.

Its combination of IEC 61496-2 type two and EN 954-1 category three safety integrity makes them suitable for most safe guarding applications.

To connect to a machine control system, a 24V DC supply is required for the transmitter and receiver units.

By connecting the two electronic output switches to the machine stop circuit, the installation is complete.

Transmitter and receiver heads come with 5m connection cables.

Mechanical installation is catered for with a combination of four extruded slots running the length of the extrusion that incorporate an M6 thread and a standard angle bracket mounting kit option.

Multifunction safety units provide relay output switching and control options such as muting, E-stop inputs and control of two light curtains.
