Drive to power Chinese fan
Howden Power has selected Siemens to provide a 6.5MW motor, soft start and control system for a large sinter fan project in Xingtai, China.
Howden Power has selected Siemens to provide a 6.5MW motor, soft start and control system for a large sinter fan project in Xingtai, China After presenting to the Chairman and Vice President of the Xingtai Iron and Steel Corp, the Siemens Large Drives team succcessfully won the GBP 800,000 order
The total value of business to Siemens is some GBP 1 million.
Negotiations were concluded last year when Mick Jones, the Siemens Large Drives business manager, flew over to China to attend an official order signing ceremony, which was broadcast on local TV.
Siemens reputation in China has always been strong and with the advent of new orders and the growth of existing and new business relationships, this is set to continue this year.
