FCX Pegler and Louden has been appointed principal UK distributor in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries for one of the major safety interlocking product specialists
Process safety specialist Smith Flow Control has appointed FCX Pegler and Louden as its principal UK distributor for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
"FCX Pegler and Louden is widely regarded as one of the world's leading suppliers of flow control technology to the process industries and we are delighted to have formed this association with them," commented Smith Flow Control's Vice-Chairman Mike Smith.
"The combination of our expertise in providing safety interlocking solutions for the demanding oil and gas industries with FCX Pegler and Louden's extensive experience in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries provides a powerful answer to the safety needs of these sectors." Smith Flow Control's interlocks ensure all valve handling procedures are carried out in the correct sequence, reducing the chances of serious accidents due operator error.
In addition to valves, interlocks can also be used to protect switches, vessel closures, access guards, tanker loading systems and pressure and temperature sensing systems.
