Cable containment products can have a crucial effect on the performance of high-speed data networks.

Ever-increasing demands for speed of data transmission dictate that systems function to their ultimate efficiency And this may not be achieved using the cheapest support system but by with a system that totally meets Cat 5E, 6 and fibre optic specifications

Consideration must be given to the type and performance of the cabling.

Equal consideration must be given to the cable management system, and to the way in which the cables are installed to meet the exacting criteria set by the standards.

Without a good cabling solution the flow of data can be restricted.

There are three objectives of proper cable installation: secure and reliable support to allow optimum data voice transmission; ease of installation; and time and cost effectiveness High performance data cabling requires a very distinctive handling, installation and fixing - Support Comms products provide effective solutions.

An unsuitable cable management system, improper installation, crimped cables or a tight radius bend may jeopardise the integrity of the data system.

Support Comms range of cable containment products have been specifically designed to incorporate all the features demanded for the installation of high-speed cables.

These products are designed for speed of installation and minimum labour costs.

Commsduct is a yellow duct system for high-speed and fibre-optic cables, specifically designed and manufactured for telecomms and data networks.

A fully enclosed system, protecting the fibre from dirt and dust, it is strong enough to protect cables from the most rigorous of conditions being manufactured from a halogen free, flame-retardant plastic.

Datadeck is a smooth based cable basket system.

It is similar to the conventional cable basket system as a skeleton on which a flat bottom fire retardant, antistatic sheet is sonically welded.

The decking is load absorbent, which allows cable looms to be laid into the containment to the maximum permissible depth stipulated by the cable manufacturer.

The primary task of the decking is to provide a totally smooth base that will give the required environment for Cat 6 cabling.

Dataduct is a lined cable duct system.

This deep cable basket system is lined with a fire retardant, antistatic sheet that is bonded to the sides of the duct.

This also provides extra protection for the cables.

The Cablemat under-floor cable-management system is a lightweight, fire-retardant, halogen-free and antistatic sheet, formed from 10mm polypropylene.

Though lightweight it still exceptionally strong, yet easy to install and is cut to widths to suit any requirement.

It is available in range of colour options that can be used to indicate the varying cable routing layouts within a project.

The standard Cablemat sheet can be factory formed to raise the cables off the floor up to any practical height, with a minimum of 30mm.

This system has been designed as a cableway, with provisions to also carry the weight of an average man, during cable installation.

Ramps, bridges, abutments are also formed with this product.

Finally, the Cablecat range of data cable supports and fixings provide effective solutions for high performance horizontal data cabling with the versatility to support virtually any requirement and service.
