The SS100B is an embedded board for network-enabling industrial control devices.

The SS100B is an embedded board for network-enabling industrial control devices.

The SS100B is a board level product that converts the serial data from industrial control devices such as PLCs, barcode scanners, scales and printers to Ethernet and transfers up to 230Kbit/s.

It supports RS232/422/485 based serial devices via a 9-pin D-type serial port.

With hardware/software flow control features, the SS100B can control the amount of serial data transmitted to and from serial devices.

At the other end, the device is equipped with a RJ45 connector, which can be used to connect the SS100B to any 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet network.

For secure data communication between industrial device and a host PC, SSL encryption, HTTPS and IP filtering features are provided.

The benefits of networking industrial devices are: immediate access to information, and improved flexibility and a significant reduction in operating costs.

Users can now directly access and manage their serial devices, either through a private intranet or over the public Internet.
