The new Plantscan MC9601 is a multichannel on-line plant condition monitor of vibration and temperature levels, providing multi-point surveillance and real time protection of rotating machines

Sensonics has introduced the new Plantscan MC9601, a multichannel on-line plant condition monitor of vibration and temperature levels, providing constant multi-point surveillance and real time protection of rotating machines such as pumps, mills, motors, compressors, conveyors, etc.

to avoid costly mechanical breakdowns.

Plantscan is available in various configurations from 2 to 8 channels of vibration and/or temperature and is particularly suited to monitoring machines with rotational speeds between 200 and 10,000 rpm and incorporating either sleeve or rolling element bearings.

The vibration and temperature sensors fitted to the machine are powered by Plantscan and their signals scanned for approximately 5 seconds with the level being compared to preset dual alarm levels.

If the levels are exceeded, an alarm relay is triggered and a highly visible LED illuminated on the front panel.

Both A1 (alert) and A2 (danger) levels are individually adjustable for each channel and activate alarm relays.

Plantscan is powered with either 110 or 220 Vac and provides continuous selectable analogue outputs from each channel for data recording, with a choice of 4-20mA, 0-10mA, 0-5V or 0-10V.

The dynamic signals for each channel are also available for data collection/analysis purposes.

The monitor is housed in a rugged steel wall-mounted and lockable enclosure rated to IP66, making it suitable for installation in hostile plantside environments, either inside or outdoors.

A window is incorporated into the enclosure door through which the high visibility LEDs and LCD digital display can be viewed.
