The novel GSM Alarm allows remote monitoring of up to eight inputs, with alarm messages sent via SMS.

Almost everyone is familiar with the use of SMS messaging (short message service), using their mobile phone to send text messages to friends, loved ones and colleagues Now the same service can be used to remotely monitor most industrial, commercial or home applications using a novel GSM Alarm from Send Technology

Using SMS messages to aid the remote monitoring of such applications can be an effective, low-cost and reliable solution.

The GSM Alarm uses SMS text messages to inform the user of any activity on any one of its eight inputs.

Each input, or event, can be used to trigger up to 10 alarm messages to a maximum of 10 different recipients.

Alarm messages can also be sent to fax machines.

In addition to the eight inputs the GSM Alarm has a single output, which can be triggered by an incoming message triggering the open collector output.

The messages and recipient numbers are stored on the SIM card and can be programmed via an optional SIM card programmer.

The device requires an 8-38V DC or 6-29V AC supply, can operate in temperatures from -10 to +55C, is a dual-band GSM device and is available with either an integral or external antenna.
